Sound Image of a Spider Robot
The Sound Camera SeeSV-S205 shows the noise sources of a spider robot. The robot has two noise sources, the motor and gear box. The sound camera detects two sources while the spider is turning. The motor is behind the head of the spider and the gear box is under the belly.
The High Frequency Noise from an Insulator Connected to 50,000 V
An insulator is generating high frequency noise while it is connected to 50,000 V in humid conditions. To simulate rainy weather, water was sprayed on the insulator before turning on the power source. This measurement was done at Korea Electric Power Research Institute on April 18th 2013.
Dashboard Squeak and Rattle Noise Test
The Sound Camera SeeSV-S205 shows the squeak and rattle noise of a dashboard. The dashboard has been placed on a shaker, which is specially designed for noise testing. This test simulates rougher road conditions. Random and single frequency vibration were induced.
Sound Camera On the Air – KBS .
Korea Broadcasting System(KBS), which is the largest public broadcasting company in Korea, featured a story about the development of Sound Camera SeeSV-S205. KBS reported the function and the performance of the Sound Camera since it was recently developed. Moreover, the news focused on the 2013 reddot award, which KAIST and our company received last March.
Door Demonstration during Automotive Testing Expo 2013
The video shows the rattle noise of a door when a loud speaker generates low frequency sounds. The Sound Camera SeeSV-S205 shows the position of the rattle noise in real-time. This demonstration was exhibited at the Automotive Testing Expo 2013 in Korea which was held at the Kintex Convention Center from March 18th to March 20th.
Door Leakage Test
The Sound Camera SeeSV-S205 successfully shows the main leakage point of a door. A speaker is generating loud noise behind the door and the Sound Camera is detecting leakage sources. The length and the strength of the leakage source was reduced when tape was applied on the leakage sources.
